Privacy
What we collect, and what we do with it.
This policy describes how SEE Acumen Capital handles information submitted through seeacumencapital.com. It is written to describe what actually happens rather than to reserve rights we do not exercise.
Effective September 1, 2026. Last updated September 1, 2026.
Scope
Who this covers.
This policy applies to seeacumencapital.com and to SEE Acumen Capital, a division of SEE Acumen Inc. ("SEE," "we," "us"). It covers information you send us through the forms on this site or by email to the address published here.
It does not cover the independent sponsors, capital partners, lenders or partner organizations you may later deal with. Those are separate businesses with their own practices. If information about you is shared with one of them, it is shared as described below, and their handling of it is governed by their own policies.
What we collect
Only what you send us, plus ordinary server records.
Information you give us. Each form on this site asks for different things. The operator intake asks for your name, email address, telephone number, a profile or résumé link, your current or most recent role and employer, the scope of your largest operating responsibility, your industry experience, the capital you are currently able to put at risk, and your reasons for pursuing ownership. The sponsor, capital partner, organization and general contact forms ask for your name, email address, organization, role and whatever you choose to write in the message field.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records ordinary web-server information when a page is requested: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. This is used to operate the site and diagnose problems.
What we do not do. This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts of any kind. We do not build profiles of visitors, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not collect payment information, government identification numbers or credit information anywhere on this site. The only third-party request a page makes is to Google Fonts for typefaces, which transmits your IP address to Google as part of serving the font files.
Why we use it
To respond to you, and to do the work you asked us to do.
We use what you send to reply to your inquiry, to determine whether there is a plausible fit with the channel, to carry out the risk-documentation work described elsewhere on this site where you have asked us to, to communicate with you about that work, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell, rent or license information about you. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use it to train machine-learning models.
Operator information
The part that matters most, stated plainly.
If you submit the operator intake, we may create a record documenting operator risk: what was found and not found, on stated procedures, at a point in time. That record exists so that a sponsor and a capital partner can do their own underwriting. It is not a certification, a credential or an opinion that you will succeed.
We do not contact your employer at any stage without asking you first.
We do not share your information or any risk record with a member independent sponsor, a capital partner, a lender or a seller without your express permission for that disclosure. You decide when your candidacy becomes visible to anyone outside SEE.
You may withdraw at any time, and you may ask us to delete what we hold. If a process does not continue, that concerns participation in this channel at that point in time. It is not a judgment about your employability, your professional capability generally, or any career decision that is yours to make.
Some of what you tell us is sensitive, including what capital you can put at risk. We treat it as confidential, limit access within SEE to the people doing the work, and do not use it for any purpose other than the one you submitted it for.
Who else sees it
Service providers, and the people you authorize.
Service providers. This site is hosted by Netlify, which processes form submissions and stores them on our behalf. Our email runs on Google Workspace. Both act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
People you authorize. Member independent sponsors, capital partners and other transaction participants, only with your permission, as described above.
Legal. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process or a governmental request, or where necessary to establish or defend legal claims, or to protect the safety of any person.
Business changes. If SEE is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Keeping and deleting
How long we hold it, and how to get rid of it.
We keep inquiries and correspondence for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a reasonable business record, and operator records for up to three years after the last activity on your file, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we are required to keep them longer.
To request access to what we hold, correction of anything inaccurate, or deletion, write to getstarted@seeacumencapital.com. We will respond within the time your jurisdiction requires, and within 45 days in any case. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we may retain information where the law requires it or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — including the right to know what personal data we process, to correct or delete it, to obtain a copy, and to appeal a refusal. Residents of Texas, California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights by statute. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on either count.
Security, minors, changes
Three shorter points.
Security. The site is served over TLS, form submissions are encrypted in transit, and access within SEE is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that transmissions over the internet are free from interception.
Minors. This site is intended for experienced professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes. We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means the current version applies.
